Dynamic Analysis and Parameters Design of the Load Virtual Synchronous Machine

This paper introduces the load virtual synchronous machine (LVSM) topology and corresponding control strategy at first. The control strategy mimics operation properties of a synchronous machine, which also has the function of actively participating in grid frequency adjustment (GFA) and grid voltage adjustment (GVA). Then dynamic models of the LVSM participating in GFA and GVA are analyzed. The parameters design method is proposed to realize desired dynamic responses. Finally, the theoretical analysis and the parameters design method are verified through hardware in loop experiments.
