Pressure Simulation and Experimental Study of Basin Insulator Considering Sealing Ring

In order to investigate the influence of the size of the sealing groove on the hydraulic strength of the basin insulator, the water pressure simulation model of the basin insulator considering the sealing ring was established and tested. The uniaxial tests, biaxial tests and shear tests were carried out on the rubber material of the sealing ring, and the parameters of Mooney-Rivilin model, Neo-Hookean model, Yeoh model and Ogden model were fitted to the experimental data, which showed that Ogden model had a good fitting result. The whole simulation process was divided into assembling process simulation and pressure simulation, which solved the initial model interference problem. The influence of groove width on the hydraulic strength of the basin insulator was studied by simulation, the results showed that the hydraulic strength of the basin insulator was about 3.0MPa under the condition of 7.3mm groove width, and the maximum stress occurred at the groove bottom of the sealing groove; when the groove width was 7.5mm, the hydraulic strength of the basin insulator was about 3.7MPa, and the maximum stress occurred at the corner of the convex surface of the basin insulator. The simulation results were verified by experiments, which showed that the hydraulic strength of the basin insulator was 2.9 MPa when the groove width was 7.3 mm, the relative error between simulation and test was 3.4%, and the hydraulic strength of the basin insulator was 3.9MPa when the groove width was 7.5 mm, the relative error between simulation and test was 5.1%, which proved the rationality and effectiveness of the simulation method.
