Dual-Stage Dc-Dc Multistring Configuration for Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conversion

This paper presents a dual-stage dc-dc multistring configuration for photovoltaic solar energy conversion. The topology is suitable to be applied with an asymmetric multilevel converter; therefore, the DC/DC dual-stage concept is presented and its role in the topology is deeply explained. In order to validate the proposal, simulations and experimental results are shown under different conditions of irradiance and load, tested in stationary and dynamic conditions.
