SAR Imaging with Enhanced Resolution Aided by Sub-Wavelength Periodic Structure

A SAR imaging method is proposed in this paper to enhance the resolution. With the help of sub-wavelength periodic structure, the evanescent wave of the target can be converted into propagation wave. Therefore, the sub-wavelength information can be carried to the far-field. By using the traditional SAR imaging algorithm, the imaging resolution can be well enhanced. The last simulation results show that the two close spheres can be accurately distinguished with the proposed method.
