On-Chip Miniaturized Wideband Wilkinson Power Divider with Series LC Stub

A novel on-chip miniaturized wideband Wilkinson power divider with series LC stub is presented in this letter. This divider is analyzed and designed based on a symmetrical circuit model under even-mode and odd-mode excitation. By adding this series LC stub, good impedance matching at all the three ports and excellent isolation with additional reflection zero between two output ports are achieved. An experimental wideband power divider is implemented which achieve the bandwidth of 43.5% range from 1.8GHz to 2.8GHz with 14 dB return losses and isolation, the magnitude imbalance and phase difference of this power divider are 0.009dB and 2.17±0.35

, respectively. The operating frequency and bandwidth of this divider can be flexibly tuned by adjusting the value of lumped passive components. Furthermore, compact active size (0.95×0.65mm

) is achieved successfully.
