Parameter Optimization of Hybrid Excitation Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

In order to obtain the better performance, the parameters optimization of the hybrid excitation permanent magnet synchronous motor(HEPMSM) need to be performed. Based on hybrid Taguchi genetic algorithm (HTGA), this paper took electromagnetic torque, torque ripple and iron loss as the optimization target, and used optimization module embedded in the Maxwell software to optimize the five parameters including permanent magnet width, permanent magnet thickness, V-shaped permanent magnet angle, ferromagnetic pole width, and ferromagnetic pole yoke height. After optimized, the average torque increased by 1.19%, and the torque ripple factor decreased by 10.33% and the iron loss by 4.79%.
