Preparation of a Digital Stethoscope

This initiative is taken to develop a stethoscope a little different from the one that is conventionally used in clinics and hospitals. The deployment of electronics for capturing heart sounds and lung sounds along with the capability to measure heart rate. The idea behind the setup is to capture the heart sound using a microphone, performing analog filtering on it and storing it in a computer. This gives us the advantage of performing feature extraction from the given signal as well as store it for future reference. The principle remains the same yet the use of electronics helps in a better signal quality which means better sound even in areas where there are a lot of perturbations.
