Ant Colony Pheromone Field Evolution Based Parameter Estimator Approach for Adjacent Multiple Cell Tracking

In this paper, an accurate ant-inspired estimating algorithm for tracking multiple cells is proposed that used a prediction mechanism. Pheromone field prediction helps to accelerate the pheromone formation of the current frame using the Gaussian mixture model (GMM) approximation technique. The pheromone updating strategy is a novel pheromone diffusion and deposit model to obtain the expected pheromone field for extracting cell states in cohesion. Experiment results show that our algorithm could automatically track numerous cells in cohesion and furthermore, it is competitive with the results from recently reported approaches.
