Comparative Analysis of Component Based Software Engineering Metrics

Component Based Software Engineering is a technique or method for assembling and designing a system from already existing and available components. Whenever we select and pick any component from the market, we need metrics to measure its quality, reusability, functionality, portability and understandability. Several metrics has been defined by many researchers for CBSE. There are only a few of them that can be effectively used. This paper enlists various features of CBSE with their metrics. Metrics help the developer so that risk factor can be calculated and it can be reduced before development of a system.
