Optically Communicated CO-Lasers With Unstable Resonators

The radiation characteristics of two planar radio frequency (RF) exited carbon monoxide (CO) lasers with hybrid unstable optical resonators and with optical communication through output windows and 2 mm thick CaF
₂
dividing plate with different reflection in the modes of multifrequency generation have been studied. An increase in the total output power ~11 W from both lasers by 50% and an almost complete synchronization of the fields in two lasers were obtained when the fraction of the injected energy from one laser to the other was 14%.
