Compact two-layer rotman lens-fed circularly polarized antenna array

This paper presents a new design to realize a multi-beam circular polarized antenna array with a Rotman lens. In order to reduce the profile of the Rotman lens antenna, the microstrip circularly polarized 8×9 antenna array is realized on single-layer copper-clad substrate. Corporate-fed combined with series-fed network is used in the microstrip antenna array design. Our measurements confirm the effectiveness of the proposed compact two-layer Rotman lens antenna.
