Non-contact Voltage Measurement of Solar Cell with Electrostatic Voltmeter

An accurate and quick performance measurement of PV modules and cells are very important. Non-contact measurements of PV characteristics without interruption of the operation of the PV system are desired. A high accuracy electrostatic voltmeter was used for the non-contact measurement of voltage of solar cell in a module structure. The values of the voltage measured with the voltage tester and electric potential measured with the electrostatic voltmeter agreed well. The non-contact electrostatic voltmeter can measure the voltage of solar cell in the module structure with a margin of error within 0.01 V.
