Cloud based intelligent attendance system through video streaming

This paper presents Cloud Based Intelligent Attendance System through Video Streaming. The architecture and algorithm used in each stage of this system is described in this paper. The system is based on the concept of face recognition relatively on a larger scale [9]. The system identifies and authenticates each student present in the class. Through this system, the attendance of group of students is carried out at a single point of time. The objective of the system is to automate the traditional way of taking the attendance on registers and to integrate the system with the cloud so as to make all the records readily available that are maintained by the system by reducing the errors. Thus, when compared with the other alternatives of marking the attendance, this system proves to be more reliable and accurate. Keeping in mind the future scope of making it a commercial product, the system is integrated on a private cloud which can be accessed easily and makes the system more reliable.
