HTML5-based interactive media editing system

Media with interactivity can significantly increase the richness and scalability of the video. However, most of the current media formats supporting interactions need to work with the browser plug-ins, while most of the HTML5-based video editing system can only support traditional non-linear editing without supporting the interaction with media. This paper presents an interactive media editing system by leveraging the HTML5 technology. Specifically, we solve three major problems, including the binding of the hotspot and video elements, the tracking of the video objects, and the data storage of project with hotspots. In summary, the proposed editing system can support the addition of hotspots, basic hotspot settings, hotspot tracking function, and so on.
