Study on fraud detection of telecom industry based on rough set

Fraud is very common in the field of the telecom industry therefore telecom operators have taken various measures to prevent the losses caused by the fraud. In the paper, the anti-fraud measures available in telecom industry are summarized; the architecture of telecom system and anti-fraud detection procedure are depicted and rough set theory is introduced. And then an approach with rough set for anti-fraud detection of telecom industry is presented, and the algorithm of extracting detection rules is designed. At last, a case is given to explain the algorithm, which proves the approach is feasible.
