Rooftop rainwater harvesting system in Amman city

In Jordan, population is increasing rapidly due to huge influxes of refugees from neighboring countries. As the water considered as the decisive factor in the population/resources equation, the continues growth of the country population rate put Jordan in a challenge to face the scarcity of water. The rainwater harvesting system can reduce the water shortage. Based on statistical information available during number of years, a simulation system is built to determine the optimum rainfall collection tank volume and evaluate the use of such system in a specific area in Amman, Al Jubayah, which has the highest amount of rainfall.
