Considerations on one cycle control technique

This work presents a comprehensive study of the One Cycle Control (OCC) technique. Initially, the stability of such technique through empirical and formal demonstrations is introduced. Features and inherent drawbacks are presented to provide a better understanding of such technique. Proposals for minimizing some of the discussed drawbacks are presented and, moreover, there are also proposals to reduce the number of devices and cost of the ordinary OCC control circuitry. Finally, applications of OCC technique to Power Factor Correction Rectifier (PFC), Grid Connected Inverter (GCI), and Active Power Filter (APF) are presented and verified with simulation essays to evaluate the control performance. Preliminary experimental results are carried out and compared with the theoretical prediction.
