Design and development of ground and rainwater purification control system in remote areas

Few of the Philippines' population do not have access to drinkable water. Regardless of increase in improvement, many things still need to enhance. Hence, this study aims at developing a portable water filtering system that will convert groundwater or rainwater to potable water. This project has a feedback system that will reiterate the entire filtering process if the output water still does not pass the Class AA. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the system's sensors are accurate because it has no significant difference to the measurement of a calibrated meter. Also, the whole system is accurate by comparing all its measurement to the measurement of a water-testing laboratory. Additionally, the system is efficient since the value between the raw and filtered water is significant. This thesis hopes to offer communities in remote areas a portable water filtering system and this will make a small contribution in preventing waterborne diseases. The authors recommend further study for utilizing their available resources as a filter for a more cost-efficient and convenient device. By putting a self-cleaning filter, it will lengthen the life span of the project.
