1-to-49 Optical multicasting of PDM OFDM signal based on dual-stage multi-pump FWM scheme

We propose a dual-stage multi-pump FWM scheme for all-optical signal multicasting in HNLF. Based on the scheme, we experimentally demonstrate 25GHz-spaced l-to-49 multicasting of PDM OFDM signal using 6 pumps. All replicas exhibit performance above 7% FEC threshold with Q-factor margin of no less than 1dB. To the best our knowledge, this is the largest reported replica count in the context of all-optical multicasting of PDM OFDM signals.
