Wideband low-profile circular polarization slot antenna based on metasurface

A wideband low-profile circular polarization (CP) slot antenna is proposed based on the corner-cut square metasurface structure. Both simulations and measurements are performed to demonstrate the CP antenna and good agreements are obtained. The proposed antenna exhibits a measured impedance matching bandwidth of 32% and an AR bandwidth of 20% centered at 5.6 GHz.
