The performance analysis of satellite virtual channel scheduling algorithms based on stochastic network calculus

The use of scheduling algorithm in virtual channel multiplexing in CCSDS AOS affects the channel utilization of AOS space communication system. According to the traffic characteristics in AOS, the system model is established by using stochastic network calculus and Fractal Brown Motion (FBM) model which takes consideration into the self-similar characteristics of traffic. According to the characteristics of the FBM model, from the angle of delay performance and backlog, to compare first-come-first-serviced, static priority and Round Robin scheduling algorithms are focused and their influence on the performance is investigated. The results shed new insights for further research on virtual channel scheduling performance of AOS CCSDS spatial data systems, and have potentially significant and practical value to study the scheduling algorithm of traffic with strong self-similarity and burstiness in AOS space communication systems.
