Analysis of pressure response imbalance of the air braking system of vehicle and its influence on the driving stability

Aimed at the problem of longitudinal braking distance deviation and lateral offset generated in air braking vehicle during braking, the influence mechanism of the pressure response delay caused by air braking pipe length, elbow joint and other factors through the experimental test was studied, and formula between vehicle longitudinal braking distance and yaw rate was reduced when braking forces among four wheels were not balanced. Response size and time of braking force was tested thought a commercial vehicle braking line platform, and the theoretical analysis result was testified by the joint simulation of TruckSim and Matlab/Simulink. The results show that the out of sync of braking force response time of each wheel and the difference of size will affect the stability of the vehicle. The research results provide a theoretical reference for the air braking and driving stability and active safety control.
