An IGCT anode current detecting method based on Rogowski coil

This paper proposes a method of Rogowski coil based IGCT anode current detection to deal with the difficulty in implementation of IGCT converter overcurrent or short circuit protection, the DC bias problem of integrator is overcome by coordinating control signal of gate drive unit (GU) and switch integrator to achieve IGCT multi-pulse DC anode current detection, The feasibility and validity of the proposed method are verified by experimental results.
