Statistical analysis of power system events in Indian grid

This paper presents the statistical analysis of Grid events in the Western Regional Power System of India. The major findings and recommendations derived out of the analysis provided vital inputs for prioritizing the measures to be taken for improving compliance to technical standards, improving the operation and maintenance practices, planning for equipment upgrades and ultimately in enhancing the reliability of the power system.
