Modular low-power, low-noise, low-cost, wirelessly networked data acquisition system

Data acquisition systems used as Internet of Things (IoT) devices are generally developed for applications such as renewable energy, vehicles, or biological data collection. Methodology adapted from IoT can be used in numerous applications including sensors for underwater vehicles. Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV) have become more prevalent for military use. Coincidentally, modular sensor attachments are in need of development to make use of the AUVs. This paper demonstrates the viability of a mobile, low-power, low-noise, low-cost, wirelessly networked data acquisition system for seawater data collection of electric and magnetic fields.
