Comparative Analysis of Digital Image for Edge Detection by Using Bacterial Foraging & Canny Edge Detector

In this paper, we will study and discuss about Edge Detection of Digital Images. For the purpose we will compare two different Edge Detecting Algorithm: a) Bacterial Foraging Algorithm commonly known as BFA and b) Canny Algorithm with the help of Edge Detection of Images.Comparison will be shown by the help of images of Detected Edges. Bacterial Foraging works on swarm intelligence whereas Canny depends upon good judgment.In BFA we worked with the concept of Swarm Intelligence which means an intelligence of large dense group. In BFA bacteria searches to be settle for a good nutritive health, in the search bacteria loses some energy some of them get eliminated the whole process will be discussed in the paper. Whereas Canny is the process in which we first remove the noise using Gaussian filter later on we take out the gradient feature of the digital image and then edge detection is done by hysteresis. The algorithms will be given with the effective explanation.
