On Brockett's condition for smooth stabilization with respect to a part of the variables

The paper is devoted to issues of existence of a stationary feedback law, which ensures the asymptotic stability with respect to a part of the variables. A necessary condition for solvability of partial stabilization problem in a class of smooth bounded feedbacks is obtained. That condition is similar to Broekett's condition on stabilizable component of the control system.
