Accurate Numerical Analysis of Nonlinearities Caused by Multipactor in Microwave Devices

Due to our conformal hybrid method combining Time Domain Finite Integration Theorem with Particle-in-Cell (Conformal TDFIT-PIC), the improvement of precision in multipactor analysis is first validated in this letter. Based on such a highly accurate method, two important nonlinear phenomena caused by multipactor are discussed in time domain and frequency domain respectively. The major novelty of our work is that multipactor is found as an important source of passive intermodulation (PIM) through self-developed conformal TDFIT-PIC code. Moreover, this work is valuable to research the source and the reduction approach of PIM. Numerical examples are given to verify the effectiveness and accuracy of our analysis.
