RADAR cross section for arbitrary and complex objects

In the proposed paper, the present technology of Radar Cross Section (RCS) is for military applications largely to classify the enemy weapons in ally's airspace. Here, the prime effort is to find the presence of complex and arbitrary objects by a monostatic radar and utilizing their RCS signatures obtained by performing its simulations in MATLAB 7.5. These signatures are observed in MATLAB for further development to find accurate RCS. To define RCS of arbitrary objects is to understand the change of RCS signatures with the change in aspect angle. As complex objects are defined using arbitrary objects, we can simulate the RCS of complex objects by summing up the required arbitrary objects. The Graphic User Interface (GUI) to find RCS signatures of all major arbitrary and complex objects is for user convenience, which is also developed in MATLAB. In this GUI, the user has flexibility to change all the measurements of the objects, change their frequency, along with the plot axis and type of plots. We have both Cartesian and polar plots to find RCS signatures using decibel (dB) squared meter (m

) axis and squared meter (m

) axis in each of the plots, thereby a total of four different signatures plotted for each object. All of these have been simulated for stationary Radar with a depicted object which revolves in its own orbit. Simulation for objects revolving in their own axis with a to-and-fro motion from the Radar is the future work and the code testing is under process.
