Passivity based regulation of nonlinear continuous processes

Through a process of "feedback passivitation", a large class of nonlinear monovariable systems may benefit from systematic controller design techniques available for passive systems. An illustrative design example from the continuously stirred tank reactor control area is presented which include computer simulations.
