Output feedback based pole confinement for launch vehicle attitude control

A new and more efficient version of a previous algorithm based upon guardian maps to synthetize output feedback control laws is proposed in this paper. Explicit gradient calculations are used to implement well-known quasi-Newton methods, in particular BFGS method. The new algorithm proves more efficient and less computational demanding than its previous version. It is successfully applied to design launcher vehicle attitude control laws.
