Flue gas treatment and carbon recycling for clean electric energy

The world electric power presently is still dominated by fossil fuel power stations; more that half of our electric energy is from this dark coal power with CO
₂
emissions which warms our planet and becomes one political issue among the countries. The energy losses and gains of CO
₂
Capture and Storage (CCS), together with SO
_X
and NO
_X
scrubbing are system analyzed with demonstrated projects based on plasma and chemical sciences. Fertilizers and transport fuels could be produced as gains within 10% energy loss by implementing the CO
₂
-H
₂
O-NH
₃
process in modern electric power plants for CCS. This NH
₄
HCO
₃
dominated process has been tested as natural carbon cycle between agriculture and chemical industry in China since 1957 and now yields enough food gain for Chinese agriculture by this careful carbon management. By developing high power electron beam (EB), the process could be implemented in modern electric power plants for scientific carbon cycle with products of electric energy, methanol fuel and fertilizers. The capacity factor of power station could then be enhanced by using them fully at night for fuel. In CCS, NH

based EB technology offer one cheap solution to make it green by changing the emitted CO

into fertilizers and economic fuel for post combustion capture of CO
₂

and NO
_X
. The optimized power plant design is analyzed, suggested and addressed digitally. In order to develop high power EB accelerators for 600 MWe power utility, the pulsed EB facility is tested for developing the green energy with carbon cycle.
