An Intense Alpha Ion Sources for INRS Cyclotron

An intense PIG alpha source for INRS has been developed witn low arc power and low gas flow. Generally, the alpha yield of the new source is twice as much as the old one. The structure and character of the source and its experimental results both on the bench and cyclotron will be described in this paper.
