Models of technology transfer. (A dialectical case study)

Three underlying models of technology transfer emerged from an analysis of interviews with 55 aerospace managers using a dialectic method. One called for the transfer of experts, another for better communication, and the third required the technologies be on the shelf. The models were based on conflicting assumptions and were self-contradictory when pushed to an extreme. Together, they encompassed critical issues of technology transfer. A composite team organization was proposed which successfully met project, R&D, and technology transfer requirements.<
