Refraction of a uniform plane wave incident on a plane boundary between two lossy media

The expressions describing the modified propagation constants of the refracted nonuniform transmitted field, produced by a uniform plane wave incident on a plane boundary between two lossy media, are presented. Some examples under which the modified propagation constants must be used are illustrated to determine the limitations.
