Technostress and Fintech Adoption: Understanding Gen Z's Response to Digital Payment Innovations in Indonesia

This research explores the adoption of the XYZ fintech e-wallet by Gen Z, utilizing the TAM model to uncover intricate relationships between feature usability, accessibility, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness. While the hypothesis suggesting a negative impact of Feature Usability (FU) on Perceived Usefulness (PU) was rejected (Path Coef. (β) = -0.055, p-value = 0.470), positive effects and significance were observed in other hypotheses. These findings underscore the importance of aligning e-wallet features with Gen Z preferences and ensuring seamless accessibility to enhance user satisfaction and adoption rates. Moreover, perceived usefulness and ease of use play crucial roles in shaping Gen Z's attitudes and intentions towards adopting e-wallet XYZ, indicating that improvements in these areas could significantly boost user acceptance and satisfaction. E-wallet providers should prioritize enhancing feature usability and accessibility while mitigating technostress to effectively facilitate Gen Z's adoption of e-wallet services. However, providers must also be cautious not to overwhelm users, as this could potentially exacerbate technostress and drive them to seek alternative fintech solutions..
