Research on the 3D Deployment of Heterogeneous User UAV Base Stations Based on Voronoi Diagram Division

Aiming to maximize the channel capacity for users with different communication demands, this paper proposes a Voronoi diagram-based heterogeneous user communication coverage algorithm (VCCU). Initially, the maximum coverage radius of the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) base station is determined, and the operational area is divided accordingly. Subsequently, the position of the UAV base station is preliminarily determined based on the distribution and communication requirements of the users. Finally, the VCCU algorithm is employed for regional division, adjusting the coverage radius and deployment altitude of the UAV base station in conjunction with the user distribution, and discussing the affiliation of boundary users. Ultimately, the 3D deployment position of the UAV base station is ascertained, leading to the optimization of system performance. Simulation results demonstrate that the algorithm can effectively enhance user channel capacity and reduce average path loss.
