Wind and Energy Storage Coordinated Control Research Considering Minimum Inertia Assessment of the System

Energy storage is an important equipment for constructing new energy stations. In response to the low utilization rate of independent energy storage equipment in new energy stations, this paper combines the application of the sharing economy concept in the field of energy storage, and proposes wind and energy storage coordinated control considering the minimum inertia assessment of the system. In the inertia response phase, the frequency change rate is used as the frequency safety constraint. The minimum inertia of the system is evaluated based on different operating conditions of multiple wind farms, with the goal of setting up coordinated control between wind farms and shared energy storage to meet the minimum inertia requirements of the system. Simulation has verified the effectiveness of the proposed coordinated control in improving equipment utilization and providing inertia support for the system.
