Self-starting all-fibered Erbium-doped Mamyshev oscillator

Mamyshev oscillators are known for their capacity of generating high-quality ultrashort pulses. However, their intricate design and self-starting challenges have limited their practical use. In our work, we have experimentally established the first simple and compact structure of a fully fibered erbium doped Mamyshev oscillator that is started thanks to nonlinear polarization evolution mechanism and the full overlapping of the two tunable filters used in our laser cavity. The obtained regime based on Mamyshev mechanism exhibit noise-like pulse mode-locking (NLP-ML) regime. The simplicity and ease of use of our setup would be ideal for further investigations regarding their different output patterns.
