Consensus control of MASs with distributed dynamic event-triggered intermittent communication strategy

abstract- In this paper, the consensus control problem for linear multi-agent systems under intermittent communication strategy is considered. First, a novel distributed dynamic event-triggered mechanism (ETM) is proposed, where the state of each agent is transmitted to neighboring agents intermittently and the triggering condition does not require continuous monitoring of the states of neighboring agents. In this way, the communication resources among agents are greatly reduced. Then, a type of control protocol based on dynamic ETM is presented to realise the consensus control. By exploiting some favorable properties of the parametric Lyapunov equation, the expression of the minimum inter-event time with an adjustable parameter is derived. Moreover, a balance between the inter-event times and convergence rate can be easily found. Simulation results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed control method.
