A Method to Share Marine Big Data between Networks

Despite the fact that the marine data science is now exerting a growing influence on areas such as disaster risk reduction, environmental protection, scientific research, maritime security and more, it still lags far behind the advances of data science in internet, finance or commerce industries in terms of technical framework, application scale and data sharing. With the aim to achieve more efficient marine data mobilization and sharing, this paper proposes a method to share marine data unidirectionally and across the networks using technologies such as front-end zone, back-end zone, unidirectional gateways, sandbox and etc. This method leverages cyclic switching of unidirectional gateways that allows the dynamic data to flow in real time and QR code encoding that shuttle static data unidirectionally and periodically, thus creating a fast and secure channel for data transmission. It revolutionizes the traditional remote data sharing models and connects the protected network to the public network without physical presence of storage mediums. This solution is straightforward to implement, easy to use, transmits data efficiently and shares data effortlessly. Experimental results demonstrate the performance of the proposed method in data integrity, error recovery, scalability, and flexibility compared to existing FTP-based systems and RESTful web services. The integration of advanced technologies ensures efficient and secure data mobilization, facilitating effective marine data sharing across various network environments.
