Design of A Low Power and Frequency-Adjustable RC Oscillator for IoT Application

This paper presents a low-power and frequencyadjustable RC oscillator with a standard frequency of 32.768 KHz. The proposed RC oscillator is implemented in 152 nm CMOS process. The post simulation results shows that the output clock frequency achieves a temperature stability of 28.6ppm/°C @ 32.768 KHz and is adjustable from 17 KHz to 98 KHz with tunning accuracy of ±30 ppm. The power consumption is $1.509 \mu \mathrm{W}$ with 1.8 V supply and occupies an area of $436 \times 326 \mathrm{~mm}^{2}$. The oscillator is used to provide low-frequency clocks to the PMIC and MCU in the basebandchip for IoT Application.
