A design of a variable gain amplifier with current source load reassigned

In modern communication systems, variable gain amplifiers are commonly used in receivers to achieve dynamic compression and normalization of received signals. In this paper, a folded current-source load redistribution variable gain amplifier is proposed, which can redistribute the load current of the main op-amp according to the control signal provided by the loop, and adjust the transconductance and the output impedance to adjust the gain at the same time, which greatly improves the gain variable range. The design has a dB linearly varying dynamic range of -36 dB ~ +36 dB.
