Research on active power control strategy for offshore wind power based on multiple time scales

The centralized control of offshore wind power cannot quickly balance the difference between source and load power, resulting in significant frequency fluctuations. A multi time scale based active power control strategy for offshore wind power loads is proposed. Establish different time measurement scales to measure relevant data such as load side power, grid power, offshore wind turbine power, and energy storage state of charge. Taking the shortfall cost caused by power fluctuations on the load side as the control objective in the long time scale, and the current electricity cost and average electricity price as the control objectives in the short time scale, a multi-time scale objective function is constructed to accurately and quickly allocate power to ensure the smooth operation of offshore wind power. The simulation results confirm that the proposed strategy reduces frequency fluctuations and improves the reliability of distribution network operation.
