Frequency Utilization Model Formation Methods Using Packet Analysis and Signal Power Detection

In recent years, there has been an explosive increase in IoT devices equipped with wireless functionality, leading to a serious problem of frequency exhaustion, which is a wireless communication resource. Frequency sharing, as a solution to this problem, models the time utilization of frequency resources based on the intensity of radio waves radiated in space, thereby exploring and utilizing available frequency resources. However, accurate modeling requires long observation times. Therefore, in this study, we established a method for forming frequency utilization models in a short time through header analysis assuming packet access via wireless. Through real-world experiments using wireless LAN, we demonstrated that the proposed model formation enables accurate exploration of available frequency resources.
