Super Wideband Phased Array with Bow-Tie Dipole Resonators for 5G/6G Cellular Communications

To fulfill the sophisticated requirements of forthcoming cellular networks, phased arrays must possess broadband and super-wideband (SWB) capabilities, along with extensive scanning and end-fire radiation properties. This study delves into a novel design that integrates low-profile SWB resonators, specifically crafted for cutting-edge 5G telecommunications. The design approach is straightforward, allowing for easy implementation on the circuit boards of future mobile devices. It features eight bow-tie dipole resonators organized in a single row (1x8 linear configuration), covering an extensive frequency range from 25 to 41 GHz at a -10 dB threshold. This allows the design to encompass various bands within the 5G and upcoming 6G spectrums. The phased array design is not only easy to execute but also aligns with the complex needs of next-generation wireless technologies, showcasing its potential to significantly enhance communication systems.
