Power Reuse Green Communication Technology Using Vortex Electromagnetic Waves

The exponential growth in user data has placed a significant energy burden on base stations, urgent need for the development of effective energy-saving solutions to address the energy pressure, which can promote environmentally friendly and low-carbon communications. This problem is extremely outstanding in 5G base station deployment. While there have been advancements such as sleep modes and Device to Device (D2D) links at the physical layer and management level, there is still space for further energy reduction. This paper proposes a system architecture that leverages a novel dimension of vortex electromagnetic wave transmission, enabling power multiplexing in the Electric field strength and OAM domains. Importantly, this scheme does not conflict with existing green communication technologies. Through simulations, it has been demonstrated that this approach can still effectively reduce base station energy consumption by more than 10% on the basis with current techniques.
