A Survey On Twitter Spam Drift Detection using Machine Learning

Twitter has made it easier for users to find information by enabling them to express their ideas and opinions in regular tweets. Unfortunately, because Twitter is so popular, spammers have found it useful for disseminating their junk. In contrast to other forms of spam, Twitter spam has escalated over the past few years. The sheer number of users on Twitter and the amount of content that is posted there are the main causes of the spread of spam. Twitter and the academic community have been working on a number of spam detection systems using different machine-learning algorithms in order to safeguard users. However, a recent study discovered that the machine learning-based detection algorithms now in use are unable to effectively identify spam since the characteristics of spam tweets change over time.
