Methods for Gravity Anomaly and DOV Determination Based on MPGAC for Land Vehicles

Land-vehicle gravimetry has shown great promise for its use in dynamic gravimetry, with the advantages of achieving higher spatial resolution and yielding more high-frequency gravity information compared with airborne and marine gravimetry. However, it is typically constrained by complicated environments. To eliminate the impact of periodic attitude changes caused by such environments and investigate the means for the autonomous determination of the deflection of the vertical (DOV) based on the refinement of the local gravity field, the attitude judgment wavenumber correlation filtering (AJWCF) algorithm and the modified path gravity anomaly compensation (MPGAC) method were proposed, and their use was verified. First, the main sources of error of the stable platform and strapdown gravimeters were analyzed, and discretization of the Vening Meinesz integral was conducted on the spherical surface. Then, the AJWCF algorithm was proposed based on analysis of the characteristics of the state motion, and the MPGAC method was proposed to conveniently acquire the regional gravity anomaly, including additional high-frequency information. Finally, multiple land-vehicle gravimetry tests were carried out to evaluate the feasibility and performance of the proposed algorithm. The experiments indicated that repeated lines verified levels of repeatability based on the AJWCF algorithm as good as 1.03 mGal, and the root mean square error (RMSE) was reduced from 3.15 to 1.94 mGal, with 1.25 km spatial resolution. . Theoretical analysis and practical tests confirmed that the proposed algorithms were feasible for use in land-vehicle gravimetry.
