Application Research of Wind Speed Data Based on the K-Means Algorithm in Road Wind-Blown Sand Maintenance

We applied wind speed data in the maintenance of road wind-blown sand based on the K-means method. We collected and analyzed one-year average wind speed data from 10 stations in the central and western regions of Inner Mongolia. The K-means algorithm was used to cluster the data and identify areas with different wind speed characteristics. In combination with terrain and land use conditions, the characteristics of areas prone to wind-blown sand and their impact on road traffic safety were determined. Based on the research results, corresponding suggestions for road wind-blown sand protection were proposed. The results provide a scientific basis for road maintenance departments to effectively prevent and respond to wind-blown sand disasters and ensure the safe operation of road traffic.
